What is Peptic Ulcer Disease? 


A: Peptic ulcer disease forms painful sores or ulcer in the lining of your stomach or first part of the small intestines, which is called duodenum. 

      CAUSES 

Peptic ulcer come from the inbalance between digestive fluid in the stomach and duodenum. Most happens because of an infection in the lining of small intestine with a type of bacteria called Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori)

Results come from reserchers that there are some drugs that can increase the odd of an ulcer which include:

¶  The excess use of Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs(NSAIDs) 
These include the counter need like Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Diclofenac and noproxen, as well as others you can get by prescription. 

¶  Spicy foods
¶  Smoking
¶  Drinking alcohol 
¶  Being age 50 or older 

SYMPTOMS 
The symptoms of ulcer include:

>Heartburn 
>Burning pain in the stomach between meals or at night.
>Nausea or vomitting 
>Loss of appetite 

In hyper cases, symptoms can include:
>Weight loss
>Severe pain in the stomach 
>Vomitting blood 
>Dark or black stool 

If not treated, ulcer can lead to serious health problem which include:

>Bleeding 
>A hole through the wall of the stomach called a perforation 
>Swelling or scarring that blocks the passageway from the stomach to the small intestine. 

Taking excess NSAIDs can lead to ulcer without warning.
